i am dawit wolde . i am 24 years old . i have completed high school with GPA of 3.43 and higher education entrance exam of 304 out of 500.i have BSc degree in statistics from adama university. but studding statistics is not my interest. my interest is studding civil engineering. if i join this department, i will be outstanding student and i will be success on the profession. i hope to join and enjoy with your scholarship.

Dear Sir or Madam

I am writing to apply for the Master’s program in Information Technology/Science. My purpose in this letter is on one hand to present the reasons why I want to choose the university and on the other why I see myself suitable for the program. After the four years of study at the University of Unity I graduated in 2004 in Management Information Systems with the Major in Information Technology and Minor in Management and Accounting. Due to the broad field of my studies which included Business and Technology I got the chance to deepen existing interests and discover new one’s. As my Major shows I put emphasis on econ IT, with an international focus. I learned how growth theories explain the emergence of Information technology and the failure of Manual process and improve people’s live. Mainly Programming focus posed on these theories, helped me to compound my analytical skills and equipped me with the necessary framework to analyze complex problems.

I am aware that technology approaches alone, in most cases, are not adequate to face the global challenges. That’s why I took the chance to attend lectures like “Financial Management” “Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, “Information Management and Globalization” and others to gain insight into global challenges and its international interdependences from another point of view.
It is not only my experiences at the university that encourages me to apply for this Master’s program. Furthermore it is the certainty to be able to connect Information Technology with another field of interest.

As a student I took this Master’s program as a great opportunity to further my carrier.

I am confident that with my strong will to give my best to everything I undertake and never compromise with modesty I can contribute a valuable part to my country. Through current challenging times, I understand that in order to reach my goals, apart from hard work I have to obtain a solid understanding of academic principles that will provide me with a global perspective and will allow me to chase my dreams of entering an international University.
