CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES IN Rwanda

International Justice Mission

  • bring justice to those who have been illegally stripped of their property, protecting widows and orphans when they are most vulnerable.
  • combat sexual violence by bringing relief and aftercare to victims and seeking prosecution of their perpetrators. Sexual violence is a major source of injustice and insecurity in Africa: Overburdened legal systems and ineffective medical documentation procedures mean that the chances of justice for victims are low. IJM works to combat sexual violence by raising the cost for perpetrators, demonstrating the likelihood of prosecution if they break the law and abuse victims. Staff also ensure that survivors of sexual violence have access to the vital aftercare services they need.
  • conduct casework on behalf of victims of illegal detention and police brutality, which are often under-prosecuted in Africa’s overburdened legal systems.

International Teams/Canada

  • This is a new ministry pioneered by Jen Lichty to Refugee and Children. Providing food, clothing and love to street children and refugees; serving in the local church; teaching on reconciliation to church leaders

Mustard Seed Project

  • is a US not-for-profit corporation formed in 1993 to support the ministries of Bishop John K. Rucyahana for orphans of genocide in Rwanda.

OMS International

  • exists to establish responsible, reproducing Christ-centered churches among the nations.
  • from its inception in 1901, has emphasized the training of nationals as church leaders and workers—believing that they, the sons and daughters of a nation, could best win that nation for Christ.
