GREAT LAKES CONSORTIUM for International Training and Development (the “Consortium”)
- was established by Bowling Green State University, Lourdes College, the University of Toledo and WSOS Community Action Commission, Inc. in 1999. WSOS is the designated Consortium Manager and Contract Agent, which is a nonprofit organization. The mission of the Consortium is to initiate, seek support for and coordinate international training and development efforts linking and enhancing capacity and resources with needs in the world community.

ITSA was established in 2004 to accelerate education in Africa with a vision to address the problem of textbook shortages in African schools. Donating computers to schools allows teachers to download curriculum material free of charge, providing children with greater access to learning.

In the UK, ITSA acts as the operations hub, sourcing used computers and preparing them for shipping. ITSA is supported by a number of UK prisons to refurbish the computers before they are sent to Africa. ITSA also runs a training and education centre at its Cheltenham headquarters, teaching refurbishment and IT skills to unemployed and disadvantaged students.
- raises funds to support the work of grassroots organisations that strive to overcome this cultural and economic marginalization of rural women. We help fund participatory development projects that address the education of girls and women, self-awareness and empowerment, capacity building, entrepreneurship, health, hygiene and HIV/AIDS and civil rights.

is an ecumenical, Christian, front-line, hands-on, volunteer, non-profit organization that responds to Christ’s call to serve by working hand in hand with God’s people in Africa. We show the love of Christ through projects that directly impact the African people, stressing self-help and sustainability.

Connecting Hedaru, Tanzania, and Ames, Iowa. is a nonprofit organization working on humanitarian projects in the Kilimanjaro region of Africa. We are in the midst of a large water rehabilitation project in Hedaru, Tanzania, a city of over 20,000 people located at the foot of the Pare mountains.
- is concerned about poverty, particularly the lack of education and economic opportunity. Our goal is to train people to be effective business entrepreneurs, community leaders and global citizens
- Assists in the alleviation of poverty through practical action in four broad areas: Health, Education, Job Creation and the Environment. We work at that point where people, their skills, knowledge and ideals coincide. We are involved in work that is wanted by local people and for which there is a clearly identified need. We are very much community based and needs driven.
