Orphanages for Africa (OFA)

• is an international humanitarian and development organization serving orphans through the establishment of micro-enterprise businesses. We offer a hand- up, rather than a hand-out, to Africans caring for orphans through orphanages and home-based care.
• OFA has two partners in Kenya: Christian Hope Support Group is based in the Langas Slum and Young People of Purpose is situated in the heart of the Kibera Slums.

Plan

• works with children, their families, communities, organisations and local governments to implement programmes at grassroots level in health, education, water and sanitation, income generation and cross-cultural communication.
• We ensure that children are involved in all aspects of our programmes, working with adults who have learnt to value their contribution.

ReACT’s

• vision is to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable children in Kenya. We are not looking to establish “our own projects” but rather to identify and come alongside local, grassroots initiatives. Since much of what we do has been birthed at a grassroots level, the simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and cultural relevance is maximized.

Transafrika

• Continuous and on-going support of specific schools in Kenya. We provide books, clothes, computers and medical supplies donated by individuals in the US to advance the education and maintain the health of these children. 
• Development of a facility in Ngong Town – Kenya which will supply housing and education to children who are orphaned or who are refugees from Political Strife and Environmental Disasters in Eastern Africa.
