Daystar University- Scholarship Opportunity
- We are awarding an academic merit scholarship for admission
- Who qualifies for the Scholarship? Must be committed Christians, Must have scored a mean grade of A or A- in high school and Must have sat for K.C.S.E exams
East African Breweries Limited
- EABL Foundation has announced the commencement of this year’s scholarships that will see 20 new students enter private and public universities across East Africa.
- This year EABL Foundation scholarships reach a new milestone with over 120 students educated by the Foundation at a cost of Kshs 110 Million in the past eight years.
- The applications will be open to bright but needy students across the region wishing to study Business, Information Technology, Engineering and Food Science.
- Applications for a place on Strathmore University to study Business, Commerce and Information Technology will close on 22nd June while those wishing to study Engineering or Food Science in the public Universities have until July 25th to apply.
- Students who sat for their KCSE in 2007 and have been invited to join any public universities can apply for the scholarships to public university while those who sat for their exams in 2008 and want to attend private university will be eligible for Strathmore University.
Great Lakes of Africa Scholarship
- Through the generosity of Chairman of the Board of Trustees Samuel Hamil Jr., College of the Atlantic is pleased to offer the Great Lakes of Africa Scholarship. This scholarship provides an exemplary and promising student from the Great Lakes Region of Africa with the full financial assistance needed to attend COA. Tuition, room, board, books and health insurance are all covered by the Great Lakes of Africa Scholarship. In addition, there is funding for the student to return home each summer.
Kenya Youth Education Scholarship Fund
- Was established locally in the in the year 2005 as a society to address issues affecting education of the youth in Kenya.
- To help needy and deserving youth with limited financial resources who display academic excellence and the desire to acquire practical skills and knowledge to enhance self reliance by pursuing their higher education.
St. Lawrence awards Scholarships to Kenyan students
- St Lawrence Scholarship is a full scholarship and pays for tuition, fees, room and board, insurance, books, and miscellaneous expenses. This scholarship is awarded each year.
University of East Anglia – Kenyan Schools Scholarship
- The scholarship, based on academic merit, will be awarded annually up to 10 students. Any student who is completing A Levels, the International Baccalaureate, or the International Foundation Year who applies to UEA through UCAS and is accepted will be considered. A scholarship form must also be submitted (below). Students awarded the scholarship will receive £2,500 annually for up to three years of undergraduate study, totalling £7,500. Scholarships may be enhanced for academically superior candidates.
University of Sheffield – Kenya 50% Undergraduate Scholarship 2008
- There is one Kenya 50% Undergraduate Scholarship, available for Kenyan students starting their undergraduate degree studies. The scholarship is worth 50% of your undergraduate course tuition fee per year. To be eligible for the Kenya 50% Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must be a Kenyan national or permanently domiciled in Kenya. The Kenya 50% Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit. If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply. Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
- With funding from donors including the United Nations, European Governments, Trusts and private individuals, supports refugees in higher education and professional training in Kenya.
- In partnership with the Swiss Government assists pupils from marginalised areas of Southern Sudan to study in Kenyan secondary schools because no such facilities exist in their home area.
- In partnership with the World University Service of Canada, WTK prepares refugees each year from Kakuma and Dadaab camps for university study in Canada.
- International Scholarship Program: $100,000 – ($25,000 x 4 years), Highest academic average, Demonstrated leadership skill, Letters of recommendation, To renew – maintain a high academic standing (7.80 on a 9-point York scale) in each academic year at York, Deadline: March 1 and How to Apply: Application Form (PDF)
