The key aim of these scholarships is to identify and nurture leadership potential in individuals from developing countries.
Benefits of this scholarship include tuition fees, an economy class flight to and from Australia, an annual stipend of AUD 30,000, OSHC and an establishment allowance of AUD 5,000.

The New Zealand Development Scholarships give students from developing countries the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills through study in specific subject areas that are of benefit to their home country.
Recipients must return to their home countries for at least two years after completion of the scholarship, to apply their newfound skills in government, civil society or private organizations.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, travel to and from New Zealand, a fortnightly living allowance and an establishment allowance.
