CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES IN ZAMBIA
Action Zambia
- is small group of individuals whose goal is to minister with and through the local church in reaching Zambia. We exist to support and build up the local church in Lusaka and in surrounding communities.
Baptist Mission of Zambia
- learn more about the people of Zambia, where there are more than 72 language/tribal groups.
- learn about how God’s working here among the people, and the part he’s letting us play in it.
Bridge International
- is a faith-based organization engaged in the process of Transformational Community Development. Our vision includes the entire nation, and our target group are those living in the bush areas where few travel to provide help of guidance of any kind, as well as to orphans and vulnerable children, and those who have no voice in society.
International Justice Mission
- bring justice to those who have been illegally stripped of their property, protecting widows and orphans when they are most vulnerable.
- combat sexual violence by bringing relief and aftercare to victims and seeking prosecution of their perpetrators. Sexual violence is a major source of injustice and insecurity in Africa: Overburdened legal systems and ineffective medical documentation procedures mean that the chances of justice for victims are low. IJM works to combat sexual violence by raising the cost for perpetrators, demonstrating the likelihood of prosecution if they break the law and abuse victims. Staff also ensure that survivors of sexual violence have access to the vital aftercare services they need.
International Teams
- Ndola (African Quest) – Through a 9-month internship program to train and introduce young Christians aged 18-30 to missions work in Africa.
- Livingstone – To Mobilize, Train, Send And Support African Mission Workers To Build Transforming Communities.
- Ndola – Assist key local ministries address some of the greatest needs in the Ndola area through skilled and compassionate service.
Tom and Amy Morrow
- have been missionaries to rural Zambia since 2002. In mid-2006, they undertook the renovation of a 30-room hotel that was incomplete and abandoned to convert the property into an orphanage, plus staff quarters.
- We supplement a school in the slums of Lusaka. Pastor Sakala administrated the school by faith until he met us. With a combined effort, “The Flying Angels School” continues to prosper and grow. Several new buildings have been added with the help of the local community.
Zambian Mission Support
- was set up in January 2006 as a fund raising charity to support various Christian projects in Zambia. The three Trustees, Geoff Bailey, Phil Bailey and Joseph Pettitt have all been involved in voluntary work in Zambia. Phil has lived there since June 2004 and is involved on a regular basis with all the various projects. Joseph visits twice a year, as a Trustee of Covenant College and as the Project Leader for the Christian Education Fund, which supports Community Schools. Geoff has visited Zambia three times and is busily involved with the administration of the Charity work in the UK.
