  • The International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship is offered to international students from selected countries who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement in their previous studies.
  • All applicants from selected countries who meet the criteria are automatically eligible for this scholarship.

What does the scholarship cover?

  • 20 percent reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the course at ECU.
  • This tuition fee discount is applicable for the duration of the recipient’s ECU course.

NOTE:

  • You must pay your tuition fees within the stipulated payment deadlines.
  • You must ensure that you are in continuous good standing academically and financially.
  • The scholarship can only be used for tuition fees and cannot be used for any other student expense.
  • You cannot defer your studies for more than one semester during the course, and you must maintain a full-time enrolment load (60 credit points) when in session.

Am I Eligible to Apply?

To qualify for this scholarship, you must

  • Meet the academic entry requirements for the course you have chosen as required by ECU.
  • Have received an offer to study for an undergraduate degree between 26 May 2021 and 31 July 2022.
  • Be an International student (not an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen).
  • Be a citizen of one of the countries identified above.
  • Study at ECU Joondalup, ECU Mount Lawley, or ECU South West (Bunbury) Campus.
  • Not have received a government or industry scholarship.
  • Plan to begin studying at ECU in 2022.

How Do I Apply – Next Steps

  • There is no separate scholarship application required. Once your course application is approved, you will be assessed for the scholarship by the ECU Admissions Office.
  • The Admissions Office will then issue a separate letter relating to your scholarship, along with a Letter of Offer for your course, confirming whether you have been successful.

Closing Date

  • The application deadline is July 31, 2022.
