I am a Lay Bible Teacher / Preacher and I am looking for sponsorship / scholarship to enable me pay my fees for Christian Missions Training to be equipped to serve God effectively.
My passion is to serve in missions God willingly beyond culture barriers, teaching the word of God, establishing vocational trainings programmes for youths and implementing children ministry’s programmes that support the disadvantaged children because of what I went through as a young boy. Previously, I failed to go for training due to lack of finances. I have again been accepted for a training programme commencing January 2009 here in Zambia for a 2 years Diploma in Theology which will further me to do another 2yrs B.A in theology programme majoring in Missions track, the whole Course will take me 4 years to complete.
I am a Zambian male aged 29yrs, married with 3 children. I am a born again Christian gifted in teaching and currently affiliated with Agape Gospel Outreach Ministries and Church International in Ndola, Zambia, where I serve as Elder, Secretary as well as Patron for Youth Ministry.
Besides my participation in the work of God, I am a qualified Auto Body Repair and Refinishing Technician specialized in Spray Painting and currently working with Speedy Auto Panel Beaters in Ndola, Zambia. Though I have this occupation, I earn very little income which has made it very difficult for me to undergo training to further my calling.
I got saved in 1995 while at Secondary School in Lundazi District of Eastern Province of Zambia where I come from. I was born in a polygamy family of 5 wives and 24 children and from my biological mother I am the 4th born of 5 children (2 girls and 3 boys). My father was a rich village farmer with a big banana plantation and owned shops which made him marry a lot of wives as it is very common among the Thumbuka people of Eastern Province. It was in 1995 that my father died and everything was grabbed by his relatives. This made life difficult for us children who were still young especially in meeting school payments that most of my brothers and sisters had to stop school. I became so depressed because of what I and my last born young sister were passing through at school that one time we could not feed from the school dining hall as we owed the school part of the boarding fees so we depended on friends and Mango fruits for survival for a period of one week. It was during this time that one of my friends who was already a born again Christian started encouraging me and introduced me to an inter-denominational Scripture Union fellowship in the school. Through the Scripture Union, I got saved as I learnt that Jesus Christ was the only answer to all my problems.
I thank God that shortly after receiving Jesus Christ as my LORD and personal saviour , my mother’s brother (uncle) took responsibility of paying for me and my young sister and my mother really worked hard through her peasant gardening to raise up keep for us at school until we completed.
Knowing Jesus Christ and accepting Him as my LORD and personal saviour at an early age gave me hope as my life changed for better through encouragements from my christian brothers at school as well as my mother who stood strong in everything with a strong catholic faith she upheld up now.
This experience made me develop a desire to help many fellow youths who were passing through many hurting situations in life and by the grace of God I have continued helping many youths come to the saving knowledge of our LORD and savior Jesus Christ.
In 1996, I got baptized in water and the Holy Spirit in the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lundazi. After completing school in 1997 I stayed in Lusaka before moving to Livingstone in 1998 to stay with my first born elder sister who got a job there. It is in Livingstone where I did my 2yrs course at Livingstone Trades Training Institute where I met my fiancé and now my wife of 3 children. I came to know about my wife through the Zambia Fellowship of Evangelical Students (ZAFES) where she served as a Prayer Secretary as well as Praise and Worship Leader for the fellowship at the same time I was the Bible Superintendent of the fellowship. I continued to serve God in Pentecostal Holiness Church in Livingstone as District Youth Secretary, Deacon at local church and later Elder until the time I left for Ndola in 2004. I have been with Agape since then and have serving as Elder, Church Administration Secretary as well as Youth Patron. I am part of the friends of CCM Zambia in Kitwe partnering in praying for the mission’s projects and have continued as a ZAFES Associate.
