  6. Pay your first installment of the tuition fee if you are not from the EU, EEA or Switzerland.

Scholarships in Sweden

  • There are a number of scholarships available for international students who wish to study in Sweden.

Scholarship Overview

  • The Global Scholarship at Lund University is a merit-based scholarship that recognizes top academic students from outside the EU and the EEA.

What does the scholarship cover?

  • Grants that cover 25%, 50%, 75% or up to 100% of the tuition fee
  • The scholarship percentage depends on the budget available to the faculty or the program.

Which countries are targeted?

  • International students from outside the EU/EEA.

Am I Eligible to Apply?

  • You must be a citizen of a country that is outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland to apply for this scholarship
  • You must also be required to pay tuition fees at Lund University
  • You must have made a complete application for a bachelor’s level study at Lund University in a normal application round, for a minimum of one semester of study (30 ECTS).

How do I Apply – Next Steps

  • First, you need to apply online for the program/course that you wish to study at Lund University using the national application website.
  • After completing your application, you can now apply for the scholarship.

Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (Graduate Scholarship)

Scholarship Overview

  • This scholarship program provides full scholarships for master’s programs in Sweden.
  • It is open to applicants from selected countries on the OECD/DAC list who have work and leadership experience.

  • Swedish Universities

What does the scholarship cover?

  • Tuition fees paid directly to the university by the Swedish Institute
  • Living expenses of SEK 10,000 per month
  • A travel grant of SEK 15,000, given as a one-time payment for the entire study period

Which countries are targeted?

  • International students from countries on the OECD/DAC list.

Am I Eligible to Apply?

  • You must have leadership and work experience
  • You must be a citizen of a country on the OECD/DAC list
  • You must be liable to pay tuition fees to Swedish universities
  • You must have followed the steps to obtain university admission
  • You must have been admitted to an eligible master’s program

How Do I Apply – Next Steps

  • You must apply online for a master’s program using the national application website. You can apply for up to 4 eligible master’s programs.
  • You must then apply for the scholarship, and attach the required documents to the application form.
  • Submit the application and the required documents via the online application portal.
