This year we have expanded the listings to cover the Top 60 in Nigeria.

We obtained this information directly from the Nigeria Ministry of Education. These results and not always available because of the fear that students and/or parents may transfer to these schools. However, at Wisdom Africa, we believe that openness, information and accountability can only help improve the educational system and help everyone make informed choices.

The following rankings are based on:

  1. the educational facilities present in the school, the teaching aids and others.
  2. the success they as a school and their students achieved in various examination mostly WAEC (West African Examination Certificate), NECO (National Examination Council of Nigeria).
  3. Various mathematics examinations in which the students of these schools had excelled greatly.

Readers must also remember that this is a one year ranking. Any school can have one good year what really counts is performance over a number of years – check previous listing to help assess a schools long term performance. Here are results from previous years

So I think the officers in charge of the collation omitted GREATER TOMORROW INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE ARIGIDI AKOKO, but If it is the top 10 schools then I think there is a mistake somewhere. So please in your next collation try to include GREATER TOMORROW as the first school because it is the best around anywhere anytime.

    This is fake. When you listed Preston International School in the past, you said it had about 5000 students, and 28 (!) teachers. How on earth can 28 teachers effectively handle about 5000 students.

    To put the records straight, Preston has more than that paltry number of teachers, and FAR LESS THAN A THOUSAND STUDENTS!

    Your ranking,for want of appropriate language,is factually wrong, and misleading. It’s an exercise in commercial advertising masquerading as scientific research. For example your stated enrollment of Loyola Jesuit College is grossly overstated. It is in the neighborhood of 600 plus students.
    By virtue of facilities available, beautiful academic environment, rigors of academic curriculum, achievements in local and international examination, success of its students in some of the most selective universities in the world, loyola Jesuit College deserves a more honorable recognition than you accorded it.
